Protect animal health and anticipate epidemics, preserve our health and the environment

Identify respiratory pathogens easily with a field-ready device.
A unique combination of non-invasive sampling and rapid biological analysis.

Identify pathogens
in 30 minutes

Three key steps in one device to collect and identify viruses and bacteria directly from the air.

3 possible applications

Limit the spread of disease on farms and reduce the use of antibiotics through early detection.

Diagnostics

Direct measurement of the breath from an animal or a group of sick animals, to define the best treatment or countermeasure.

Prevention

Determination of the health status of animals upon their arrival at the farm, reducing the risk of introducing respiratory diseases.

Monitoring

Periodic monitoring of the air quality in farms, to determine appropriate risk management strategies and detect emerging pathogens.

A plug-and-play solution protected by 8 patents

Set up the reader, insert a cartridge and press the ON : Get actionable results in 30 minutes or less.

Nawu diagnostics

Accelerate your decisions with 100-times faster diagnostics

Curb the transmissions of diseases in farms and reduce the use of antobiotics thanks to early detection

On-field

Compatible with farm environment: robust, easy to maintain and operate.

Intuitive

Easy to setup, minimal operation and clear interpretation of results.

Fast

Result in 30 minutes (collection + analysis).

Non-invasive

No-contact sample collection directly from ambient and exhaled air, no nasal swab needed.

Towards a sustainable agriculture

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations.
Decrease animal death and sickness, improve animal well-being and prevent the spread of epidemics.
Reduce the use of antibiotics, limit the emergence of antimicrobials resistance and preserve ecosystems.
Improve the productivity of farmers, helping to secure their livelihood and our access to food.

The team

Fanny Turlure

Fanny Turlure

CEO & Co-founder

Fanny has an academic background in infectious diseases, having worked for 9 years on pathogen-host interactions in international environments and holding a PhD from Imperial College London. She then joined Aryballe, a deeptech startup aiming to digitize the sense of smell, first as business developer and then as global product manager.

With nawu diagnostics, Fanny seeks to pioneer non-invasive diagnostics by leveraging on her experience in hardware product development and infectious diseases.

Joao Trabuco

Joao Trabuco

CTO & Co-founder

Joao comes from academic research at both the University of Lisbon and the University of Houston where he studied technologies to improve the performance of point-of-care rapid tests. Since 2019, Joao has been active in the European startup ecosystem and helped build two deeptech startups.

At nawu diagnostics, Joao applies polymath skills to product development. His approach combines physics, microfluidics, instrumentation, and biology, allowing us to integrate diverse scientific approaches into practical diagnostic solutions.
