Prevent epidemics
with non-contact
diagnostics
By integrating aerosol collection and molecular analysis in one single tool, we’re unlocking breath-based diagnostics and enabling point-of-care applications.
Identify pathogens
in 30 minutes
Three key steps to collect and identify viruses and bacteria directly from the air.
A plug-and-play solution protected by 8 patents
A single use consumable allowing to identify up to 12 pathogens.
One test panel per application.
Platform technology : generic, plastics structural parts + biological reagents specific to each application

Field-optimized form factor, rugged and lightweight, easy to manipulate with gloves.
Autonomous and battery-operated.
Connectivity with secure cloud and visualization interface.

Fast decision based on precise data
Curb the transmission of diseases and deliver the most fitting treatment from the first visit
Fast
Result in 30 minutes (collection + analysis), compatible with the duration of clinical exam.
Non-technical
Easy to setup, minimal operation and clear interpretation of results.
Specific
Based on molecular biology, the gold standard for diagnosing respiratory infections.
Syndromic
Up to 12 simultaneous pathogens in one test.
Towards sustainable health
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations.
Early response to infectious threats to decrease treatment costs and control epidemics and pandemics as early as possible.
Rationalize the use of antibiotics, limit the emergence of antimicrobials resistance and preserve ecosystems.
Improve the productivity of farmers, helping to secure their livelihood and our access to food.
The team

Fanny Turlure
CEO & Co-founder
Fanny has an academic background in infectious diseases, having worked for 9 years on pathogen-host interactions in international environments and holding a PhD from Imperial College London. She then joined Aryballe, a deeptech startup aiming to digitize the sense of smell, first as business developer and then as global product manager.
With nawu diagnostics, Fanny seeks to pioneer non-invasive diagnostics by leveraging on her experience in hardware product development and infectious diseases.

Joao Trabuco
CTO & Co-founder
Joao comes from academic research at both the University of Lisbon and the University of Houston where he studied technologies to improve the performance of point-of-care rapid tests. Since 2019, Joao has been active in the European startup ecosystem and helped build two deeptech startups.
At nawu diagnostics, Joao applies polymath skills to product development. His approach combines physics, microfluidics, instrumentation, and biology, allowing us to integrate diverse scientific approaches into practical diagnostic solutions.
